As excited as I am to get to know you, it’s important that you get to know who is behind the camera as well. Aloha everyone, I’m Samie! I am a traveling photographer based on the beautiful island of Oahu, where I was born + raised.

Dancing was my first love. I watched Lilo and Stitch on its premier night at the age of 5, and that’s when my passion for dancing began! When I'm not behind the lens capturing your greatest memories, you’ll find me on stage sharing the art of Polynesian dance at my part time luau job.

Growing up, my mom + I spent our weekends getting dolled up, dressed in our flashiest fits, and went on adventures around the island. But why get dolled up to go on an adventure…..? To have a photoshoot, duh!!! We would stop at each of our fav locations and photograph each other until we got the shot! Being a former beauty queen, she taught me how to pose, and I tried to teach her about angles! I’ve always had an interest in everything aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

During the first era of the “digital camera” (iykyk) and when social media just started to get popular, I took a few photography classes in school. At this time in life, my friends and I LIVED for photographing each other. I always looked forward to our adventures and hangouts so we could capture our craziest memories.

My greatest adventure yet has been motherhood, and family life. Since having my son 8 years ago, my desire to capture memories as they came and went grew immensely. From the mundane to the most special of moments, I cherish every memory that I am able to look back on of my growing boy, and family.

When the pandemic hit and the world shut down, the luau closed temporarily and I lost my creative outlet. I took a leap of faith and decided to pursue photography seriously, and never looked back! I’ve learned so much, connected with so many amazing people, and grown in my art.

It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey meeting each and every one of you, and I’m grateful every day tor trusting me to tell your story!
